What is the testing process?
Third Party Testing
Before release, samples from every batch are sent to an accredited third party laboratory in Melbourne. These laboratories operate independently from SOM OSU to ensure unbiased assessment.
Safety and Quality Checks
Each batch is assessed against established safety and quality parameters. Testing may include checks for contaminants, consistency, and overall product integrity, depending on the formulation and ingredients used.
Reviewed Before Release
Test results are carefully reviewed against our internal quality standards before any batch is approved. We do this to maintain clarity, accountability, and transparency in how our products are prepared.
Testing matters because it introduces accountability into a space that often relies on trust alone.
Independent laboratory testing helps create transparency around what is being prepared, reviewed, and released. It allows quality to be checked rather than assumed, and consistency to be maintained across batches.

Edible red algae (Kappaphycus alvarezii), R.O. filtered water, sugar, citric acid, natural turmeric colour extract, natural mango flavour, permitted food preservative (potassium sorbate – INS 202).
